Phone System
Aus LaborWiki
The current phone system consists of one Fritz!Box 7170 and a Fritz!Fon 7150. The 7170 is used as a ISDN/Dect converter and hosts a Registrar for SIP accounts. The 7150 and the VP5500 in the Basement are connected to the 7170 via Ethernet:
-- UK0 -- NTBA -- ISDN S0 -- Fritz!Box 7170 -- SIP --> DECT (Base 1) --> DECT Handsets | `-- SIP --> WLan / Voip Phone
Cells & Range
Base station number 1 is located in the lecture room, providing telephony via DECT to almost the entire Labor. 2 Handsets situated in lounge and lecture room are registered to that base station.
VOIP service
As mentioned above, the boxes are connected to one another via SIP. Incoming calls on the ISDN line are converted to SIP and then signalled to all connected clients (thus the 7150 and VP5500).
Planned Services / TODO
- Assign fixed numbers to handsets
- Port the Asterisk-phone-reminder to dtmfbox
- external VOIP connectivity (if internal resources allow)
